I mean, he abandoned his teammates in A to farm damage off the Massachusetts and sail doing nothing through B. His team needed his presence on the original flank to contest, spot and kill the 2 DDs with the support of the Cruisers and BBs behind. If he hadn’t kill the CV (which was very good) his traversing the whole map would have been counterproductive to the team

@haggeo romerothe fact that they won has no relation to the fact that the strategy wasn’t the best. They lost A and the 5 ships they had there in part because he bailed and in pet because they pushed stupidly instead of kiting away
