At least this gymick ship requires skill and is not blatently overpowered unlike many of the new premiums / premiums with extra steps.
Its not the ship that is gymicked, its john that is gymicked!
I always compare this ship to the Harugumo. Both with terrific rate of fire and good for farming ships. Only that Colbert does more damage but has no smoke screen. like Marceu in steroids

Watching that Yammy just melt under the hail of those AP shells was a thing of beauty. Didn’t know they packed such a punch.
They aren’t that strong, the result is deceiving here cause of the 3X damage buff his team had,normally they wouldn’t be near as strong as you saw

People don’t truly understand how impressive this is. Having reload mod instead of range and having to push the enemy to do damage in a light cruiser, and still achieving 513k is beyond imaginable for 99.999% of players.
Not ONLY reload mod, he doesn’t even run concealment skill either!
This is the full chad build, i can’t imagine playing without range mod on Colb, this man is insane.
Just take into account that it’s on a buff match so his dmg is going to be hyper inflated by the dmg buff, hp increase and regen.
@EnforcerX Yes it is inflated, but he was still pushing into 2 BBs in a lightcruiser at a range of less than 13km without having concealment to maximize his DPM. The overwhelming majority of players would get dev struck in the first 3 minutes of trying to do what he does.
Yeah it was arms race so damage was inflated, and yeah this kind of outcome requires a perfect balance of “stupid” on both enemy teams where they are smart enough to survive but not smart enough to land shots.
That said, his angling and shot placement was excellent, he had nearly perfect positioning for most of his engagements and the game just had all the pieces fall into place. It was an outstanding game and only muddled by the draw outcome sadly. Still… well played colbert game!
Just hope this doesn’t inspire a whole fleet of squishy colbert wannabees thinking they can do the same in this ship as easily.
