Take a look at the British Premium battleship from an unusual angle!

Today, we focus on Duke of York—one of five British King George V-class battleships that were the first ships of their type to be designed after the “battleship building holiday” that was codified in the Washington Naval Treaty of 1922. Take a look at the warship from an unusual angle in Dry Dock!

  1. I have a joke for Wargaming!!

Q: How expensive is it to implement a premade camo that you didn’t pay for?
A: It costs 90% of your community!

It’s not funny because it’s true. LWM was right.

  2. Ahhh yes the art department the only team at wargaming that’s worth a damn.

  3. We love you, Art Department! Probably only f’in department of WG that can claim that.

  4. I love her. Truly an iconic warship. Battleship Duke of York: An Anatomy from Building to Breaking is pretty decent if anyone is interested.

  5. “We recreate ships accurately according to their historical blueprints and send them into battle.”
Translation: Russian navy wasn’t really large and powerful but we will rewrite history to make everyone think it was.

    • Well, Russians do that all the time. They won the WW2 alone, without any help and allies. Didn’t you know? And it’s not a joke, it’s all the time on propaganda channels.

How do I know? Well, there is a benefit of being a native russian speaker.

    • @Winterraven Well it can be discussed widely!
The russians were like the british very reliant on supplies from the Allies, especially. There is a reason why Germany pushed hard and almost got Moscow. They were extremely reliant on a swift push on the capital, and nearly made it. I haven’t seen russia getting involved in the Pacific war.
The brits enhanced submarine warfare and the development of asdic made more convoys get through. I won’t minimize your contribution to the war, but it is less than you believe. I’m sure that TAS was refering to the ridiculously low freeboard on the russian ships combined with heavy armor. I believe a nevel architect looked at the ships and claimed they would hardly stay afloat, not be as nimble etc.
Seaworthyness? Not so sure. I’ve sailed the Barentssea, and even in the summer these ships would act more like submarines.
The funniest part is that many of their allies had navies… Russia have some of the strongest armor in the game. If you look at some tank-historians, the russians struggled very hard with the steelproduction, and what they got was steel of less quality. How such a industry could produce some fantastic warships? Pretty sure their estimates on the ships were unreasonable and maybe hyped to impress the admirality? If you look at the US and RN both of them regulated their estimates after experiences they did during WWI and the 20s-30s.

    • @andreas pedersen except loss of Moscow wouldnt end war on eastern front

    • @andreas pedersen Russian tanks had some amazing armor. So I don’t know how could say they have low quality steel.

    • And let’s not forget about Soviet CV’s concept. It’s ridiculously broken!

  6. The entire WG team needs to apologize to the art team.

    • @Patrik Grulich I’m from EU server and never heard of Bamagate. Just because we know about LMW it’s because she is widely known through all servers. Idk if there are some incidents here and there.

    • @Patrik Grulich CCs want to leave but continue playing the game, it’s not the game itself pissed them but the management and gambling issues. They don’t earn money from WG but from their viewers. They can play any other game so what’s your point here? Many ex CCs play other games on stream like Flambass playing Tarkov or Gibbins playing other titles as well. People are supporting them from donations, so you’re mad about this fact ha? Go be mad at the people who donate them you shill.

    • @SebaX then its only fucking pose

    • @Patrik Grulich You are as blind as a diver in the Mariana Trench if you are still trying to defend the actions of the people in charge of making decisions for Wargaming.

    • @Arnold Lancer i dont defend wg, I merely condemn players actions as much as I condemn theirs

  7. I love HMS Duke of York as a real warship, as a seductive Shakespearean Vampiress in Azur Lane. However due to the recent CC Exodus, and Im already fed up of all the broken promises and “miscommunication” excuses with this corporates. I want to dislike the video, but the Art Department are the ones making this “sinking ship” still afloat. So for the sake of Duke of York and Dockyard video, Ill give the like, for a meantime

  8. Here we see the Art Department desperately carrying the game despite furious sabotage by the higher managers.

  9. Ladies and gentlemen from Art Department: dislikes and angry comments are not pointed at you – we value your efforts.

Sadly, you’re on frontlines due to decisions of WG as a company – for reasons such as aggresive monetisation (and promotion of gambling), disrespect towards players and Community Contributors, false advertising, “miscommunications” and so on – and negative responses are for them to notice and consider.

Hopefully it may still be resolved. But that will require a lot of work from WG.

    • The people in the art department need to find a better place for their great talent before WG screws them like they did to Little White Mouse

    • @A LilSandWitch But they wrote an apology to this her… oh wait… it was directed towards AprilWhiteMouse nvm… This is fine.

  10. I love the one where y’all ruined your credibility with the community by screwing over your creators.

  11. Stopped playing a while ago right after the first loot boxes showed up in game. I’m a navy vet and love anything with the history of a ship and playing the old ships but now with loot boxes WG is going the way of EA and BLIZZARD games.

    • What loot boxes? Are they forcing you to buy them? I haven’t bought anything from this since I started in Open Beta. On the other hand, I have been getting doubloons from them. Not forgetting the tons of premium time I have gotten for free. The point I am trying to make is, what are you whining about. I don’t know what you expect from the company, for me I just play the game.

  12. I better hope people from the art department receive a good paycheck for their work.
It’s not like WG is missing any money according to these “sales”.

  13. We stand with LWM, wallet closed

  14. I sure hope the Art department has chiropractors in their office. They must absolutely need them carrying the rest of the circus of Weegee on their backs.

  15. Yeah I’m with the CC and LWM. You guys can stick it

  16. WT squeeze their playerbase money

WoWS: “Ayo lemme one up you”
*disregard the entire point of CC program

  17. Hey you know what would be hilarious? Doing one of these videos about HMCS Yukon. I’ll gladly interview for it and describe in detail how the development process for it worked out in the end

  18. Haha never subb

  19. Dry dock I have never bothered with dry dock as I consider it a waste of time and effort ,so have ignored it from the first one

  20. “We recreate ships accurately”

I like your funny words magic man

  21. My favorite is Odin

  22. WHY can’t we have this freedom of camera in port so we can appreciate the art and detail of our ships?
