Your mission, should you choose to accept it – escort a certain red-robed from one end of the map to the other, whilst being battered by storms, shot at by large proportion of Germany’s wartime capital surface fleet, and fending off air attacks from what seems like just about half the Luftwaffe.

So, piece of cake then.

I’m so very good with numbers.

    • I actually had 4 complete fails and all were with the northern starting point. The first game with the starting point on the east (and eventual northern exit) we completed with 4 stars. So yeah cross your fingers for the eastern start. The northern one makes it incredibly easy for the Rouan to get ambushed successfully by those DDs.

    • The most easy operation for CL, Belfast and Atlanta can easily farm over 2k Base XP, the enemy ship are so easy and the enemy planes tier 1and tier 8,but you need to do one thing when you reach near the enemy CV the team needs 1or 2 people to be outside the weather effect so can spot and shoot the enemy CV, because if all team goes together you might miss the enemy CV, and great BB is the Lion with her 16 guns but this i think it’s more easy with Atlanta and Belfast

    • Design an operation, such that players are encouraged to spend money on a certain premium ship, or spend time and/or money going up a certain new line of BB’s? Perish the thought….

Even on a good AA ship, getting any plane kills often boils down to the luck of the draw. If you happen to be on the opposite side of the fleet from where the planes spawn, or there’s even one decent Atlanta player with long range AA near you, you’ll get next to nothing. As an example of what effect your positioning and the ship mix will have, one clanmate ended up with 95 plane kills in a Pensacola.

What I saw happen in my runs, was that the cruisers tended to stay at the back of the pack to hoover up all the plane kills, as the off map air groups approached from the rear, and were thus woefully out of position to protect the BB’s when the enemy DD’s spawned, particularly the group near the exit point.

  2. Was fun this one. Real adrenaline rush in the Atlanta, managed to 5 star it first time!

  3. More reasons to play the Hotlanta? Sounds good to me.
