This World of Warships Russian aircraft carrier video features a first look at the still work in progress tier 8 premium Soviet aircraft carrier Chkalov. The Chkalov is based on The project of a high-speed aircraft carrier or carrier vehicle CV armed with dual-purpose main battery artillery that was developed in the U.S.S.R. in late 1930s known as Project 71B and named after a Famous Soviet pilot Valery Chkalov. The concept of this branch of Russian aircraft carriers is using just one squadron having one single attack. To play Chkalov effectively, squadrons will need to make a lot of brief flights at short to medium range due to their low cruise speed. This is helped by the good concealment of the ships and the presence of rocket boosters on the planes.Squadrons are vulnerable to AA due to their low HP, and each lost plane reduces the total damage that can be dealt to the enemy. The new ships’ skip bombers and torpedo bombers can use their long range to avoid staying too long in the enemy AA zone. However, in this case, it will be easier for enemy ships to evade attack.

  1. Hello and welcome everyone today’s video features a first look at the still work in progress tier 8 premium Soviet aircraft carrier Chkalov. The Chkalov is based on The project of a high-speed aircraft carrier
armed with dual-purpose main battery artillery that was developed in the U.S.S.R. in late 1930s known as Project 71B and named after a Famous Soviet pilot Valery Chkalov. This is a first look video as the Chkalov is still in testing. I hope you all enjoy the video let me know in the comments what you think and until the next time keep sailing it like you stole it o7

  2. Polikarpov VIT-2 plane was a bomber prototype which they did build one of so its not a lie, the other is Reality sinking in SU-2 Sukhoi was underpowered and considered obsolete being phased out and replaced by better planes.

  3. First WG nerfs the rocket planes, then comes out with russian CVs that dont have rocket planes. Well done WG.

  4. Steven Wiederholt

What’s next for WG, Nuclear Weapons?

  5. Another great informative video! I’m looking forward to see how all of the new ship additions work out in game.

Seems like after all of our clamoring about CV’s and submarines, WG is suddenly saying to the player base, “Y’all hold my beer and watch this @#$%!!!”

I was just thinking to myself… “World of Warships needs more planes”

    • Christian Krakhofer

because what the game needs is even more bbs clogging up the map borders right? this is the perfect shipt to farm low hanging fruits

  7. I just noticed she kinda looks like British CV s

  8. Imo she looks like an ark royal copy cat with the hurricane bow and overhanging flight deck on her stern

  9. As a massive Trekkie, I hereby dub this ship the Chekov.

  10. Sardauker Legion

None of the planes needs MGs to aim? Typic. To sell the new, first let get scrap the olds.

  11. Suggestion: Since I don’t play CV’s myself it would be great if you could compare the planes to other tier 8 CV’s. “Planes have higher top speed but less hp than the Lexington” for example. The numbers mean very little but measuring them against something I already meet would be a great help. Cheers

  12. Looks like a purchaser !!

  13. Even this is a game, this is how history is change, adding something that never exist, but in a couple of years people will keep thinking how great mother russias CV was. An example, in a game, OF HOW IF YOU KEEP REPEATING THE LIE, THEY WILL BELIEVE IT
