Hello and welcome everyone today’s video features a preview of the tier 10 premium American Battleship USS Connecticut. The USS connecticut is based on a design of a powerful 77,506 ton battleship with modest speed that was armed with 457 mm main battery guns. The USS Connecticut in world of warships is a paper ship and was never built and closely resembles the USS Vermont. The 2 ship models from what I can see are virtually identical but there are some subtle differences in terms of armor layout and armor piercing shell ballistics but first I must stress the USS Connecticut is still in testing and can be subject to change.
Comparisons to USS Vermont:
USS Connecticut gets faster Armor Piercing shell speed of 823m/s compared to the Vermont’s shell speed of 732m/s. USS Connecticut gets less AP damage per shell 14.300 compared to 15750.
Upper athwartship armor thickness is 150 at both fore and aft end compared to the Vermonts 64mm.

I can’t choose between 3 appropriate names for this ship.
USS Pointless, USS Nickle ‘n Dime or USS Whaler.
Guns seem very lacklustre compared to the original USS Thicc. I sat broadside to one in my Colombo from 15km away and took maybe 5k damage.
So another cut and paste release of a pointless ship where the original seems to be the same or better, swell. Meanwhile bugs like the “returning to port after a battle without seeing the battle results issue” continues to plague the game. WG get your game in order before asking for more money.
My take is the Connecticut will be much stronger than Vermont. TOO MUCH better.

@Saki Saki Kawasaki well, i guess you will be happy then, this probably IS vermont, they are testing to give him a buff, they did the same thing with several others ships like halland, henri, shikishima etc, maybe you are just a bit new to remember.

This feels alot like ARP Yamato and the tech line Yamato ( why pay yamato with fancy skin when can get Yamato for free via grind ??)
Honestly I don’t see the point of this ship. I predict it will be for coal.
Now the improved AP shell speed looks very useful for sniping, it can greatly enhance Vermont’s ability to hit targets. I would consider buying her for coal.
The improved casemate armour is probably most effective against cruiser AP shot at your broadside. BB AP will get through, or if angled enough, bounce off, regardless its 38mm or 150mm

Guys relax. This is probably a test vessel to check if changes to vermont make it too strong. I do not think they will release it. Think about the Richthofen clone for testing skipbombers for the first time. This thing looks alot like a Vermont with more armor, but without the super heavy AP shells the Ohio has. Lets see what they do with it.
By the time we will get new maps we will be in the next ice age..
