How do you pronounce Gneisenau anyways? Is it Gneisenau or neisenau (silent G)?
Persoanlly I don’t like the Gneisenau – the guns are horrible imo, and that’s what it boils down when it comes to a BB. Good armor, speed (and in case of some german BBs torps) are just a bonus.
That aside, _Magz_ your aiming sucks balls. When you have ‘ve an enemy pointing his bow directly at you, you shouldn’t aim at his side because that will result in an autobounce. Either aim directly for his bow or at his superstructure.

pro tip mags, I know the fighter plane seems useless in a game without carriers but if u launch it it can potentially pick up torpedoes in the water if it fly’s over them. basically if you think your going into an are where. Torps could be incoming launch the fighter

magz, you gotta angle your armor better. You’re lucky you didn’t get citadel’d multiple times.
Magz, in the options menu, turn on the detailed damage indicators, it will tell you whether your hit is a penetration, over-pen, bounce or blocked by armour.
Perfectly timed, almost grinded through my Bayern and looking forward to the Gneisenau sometime this weekend. Fast battleships… Love them!

Great game, Magz. The Gneisenau is one of my favourite Battleships in World of Warships (though Warspite will always take first place).

Now me, I went with the Scharnhorst, as her gun layout is more… historical (Gneisenau’s bigger guns were never installed), and although they’re smaller, they still tear through little ships >:3
Although, don’t tell the Scharnhorst, but my favorite ship is Dunkerque.
