The Spanish CA line is gonna be a balancing nightmare with that Gimmicks, they either gonna get the Soviet treatment or Italian treatment
@Peter Bakker these will be tech tree and eventually free.
@E that is true but there is early acsess first and a lot of players will pay gladly to have there hands on the new ships as first.
There is no balancing nightmare at all. They do not balance anything anymore. The last attempt was in 2020.
I wasn’t aware the Spanish kept wizards on their ships. Seriously, though, I hate the alternative firing mode gimmick.
“Burst fire that doubles the pen and 10% more damage” All i hear is POWERCREEP! These “special” abilities where a mistakes. So WG what is the Catch to such almighty power?
Is my dream finally coming True? I wished P – class and now here it is. If stats are True to the end, 16 sec reload in 283mm is good compared to Spee 20s.
@00 Spinz a super repair party + 8km Torpedo could be work…. atleast not a downgrade from graf spee. for another slot choice AADF/Spotter Plane. since fighter plane is obsolote for airstrike depth charge rework.

Maybe do something super weird like fuel exhaust smoke and 8km torps like you said? Maybe make it like a short smoke with quick cool down but yeh it’s an exhaust one
Gives it abit of time to escape or to turn to get all 6 guns off , that way it doesn’t need the super heal and keeps it kinda thematic and unique as
No idea where WG got this Burj Khalifa from they slapped on the Schill… Looks like one of those ugly on purpose ships.
And those stats are WGs german definition of “balance”. What a pile of junk…
@Gothia well this German ships, WG will “balance” even still in paper doc and then got ” -obliterated- balance” again when test version come

the funny thing aside the lack of repair party is that they say it has bad concealment, but is the same one as Prinz Eugen and a little better than Agir and Siegfried
I really like how the game is really crappy on cruisers, but they keep adding more of them.
Ironically WG’s non-stopping fantasy ship generating spree has made certain lines so obsolete that hardly anyone plays them these days, like Shimakaze, for instance.

The Spanish navy from the 15th century to the mid-19th century, has been among the 5 best navies in the world……
If you have Twitch Prime, and have been paying attention to your drops, you should already have a Spanish cruiser, that Canarias that sounded familiar. It was given a couple months ago as part of Prime early access. It’s an ok ship. Fires AP only up to 16km, which is a long way for a T6 cruiser.

As to the Italian ships being the go-to for Spain, there were at least _plans_ for Spain to have their own Littorio-class BBs in their navy but as far as I can work out the deal fell through.
Honestly that would be a cool premium ship idea

You should have looked at the tier 2, which they gave torps and 7guns on a broadside, Mendez Nunez should be tier 4
As a Spaniard,and having seen or studied the History of our armada,as far as I know ships from Tier I-VI are not fictional and served in the Spanish armada until after the Civil war (With the exception of Baleares,which was sunk during the war) Tier VII-IX were designs that were proposed,with all of them having still information or blueprints based on their design, the only thing fake is maybe their secondary battery.Tier X is the only fictional ship in this tree as far as I know,Overall I think they did quite a good job on this line Historically wise,we will have to see how they play in game though

between the 8km torps, the burst fire AP, and the Hydro, these Spanish cruisers are gonna be nasty for popping around an island and jumping ships
i was seriously expecting the P project for a panzerschiff tech tree but i guess that might not be on weegee plans
Now imagine you got a Spanish BB double-salvo at your beached broadsiding supership.
Considering the Schill has essentially Scharnhorst’s guns, it better have a 16 second reload (Spee and Scharn both have 20 second reload). Although not getting a heal is rather cringe.
I like the idea of the new line.
so from what I can see and compare The Van Speijk is a Haarlem at tier 9 with better armor, AA, faster Repair party cool-down, and longer range airstrike with increased cool-down time and reduced number of charges.
