After enjoying about 30 new good (and non-annoying) Sherlock Holmes tales from Craig Stephen Copland and a SH group from Toronto (IN BOOKSTREAM ON YT), I had what I thought would be a great comment, then saw under the views you’d cannily anticipated me/us?
13-14″ of armor is only little if you compare it to cetain other T9-10 ships, that armor is perfectly reasonable for an early interwar design and even then there are real battleships with less, then it’s also inclined on top of that. It has practically as much armor as Nelson afterall. If you meant the bow and stern plating that’s entirely arbitrary values anyway.
As for the struggle, I think you’re just piling on too much speed and outpacing your fellow battleships, much like many Iowa/Georgia or French players. Especially when you ought to play more 2nd line. If you can maintain a 25-30 deg angle to the target, you can kind of wiggle in and out to use the mid turret too, then you also keep your highly vulnerable 26mm bow away from some of the incoming fire too, better to take those hits on your belt than chance them smashing through your athwarthship.
Thanks for the advice, Caeric.
