  1. It performs very well in CBs. Was able to bow tank surprisingly well. If you show broadside and you get hit in the rear it hurts but if you stay angled or bow in you will survive. I really enjoy the ship.

  2. Isn’t it like 5 AM where you are?

  3. arent they Large Cruisers (CB) and not Battlecruisers (BC)

    • Sea Lord Mountbatten

@Waverley Journalise so is Scharnhorst a large cruiser then?

    • Waverley Journalise

@Sea Lord Mountbatten you know the answer to this as well as I do, on four counts: German battlecruisers historically had guns smaller than their equivalent class of BB, the Scharnhorsts were designed with the role of merchant raider in mind but also to fight enemy BBs, their armour was as strong as contemporary BBs, and they were intended for the conversion to 15″ guns. Scharnhorst vs Duke of York was considered a fair fight, BB on BB, and I don’t believe contemporary historians ever refer to Scharnhorst as a BC.

    • @Sea Lord Mountbatten Scharnhorst had the Armor of a Battleship, was planned to get the 380mm guns of Bismarck & Co, AND was classified as a Battleship by the Kriegsmarine. The French CBs are classified as “Super Heavy Cruisers” not Battlecruisers, have heavy cruiser armor, and Battleship guns. The role of those super (or large) cruisers, was to destroy enemy cruisers, and fight enemy super cruisers. Meanwhile the role of a battlecruiser was to fight off enemy light forces and then join into the battleline. (this is a very oversimplification) PS: sry for any errors in my english, I am from germany and not a native speaker

    • Sea Lord Mountbatten

@Waverley Journalise my point being that you could argue one way or another as many have on many a forum about what exactly a “Battlecruiser” is. Alaska for example, ticks every check mark on the sheet for a Battlecruiser, but nope. USN classified her as a large cruiser. My general definition for a Battlecruiser is some type of a ship with larger than normal cruiser guns (usually 280mm+) with slightly to significantly less armor than a Battleship that has been sacrificed for speed.

    • Waverley Journalise

@Sea Lord Mountbatten I tend to agree with what Drachinifel says regarding this age-old argument, and your general definition sounds very similar to that. Regarding the Alaska-class, I would offer that she is classed as a BC because the design was an evolution of the Baltimore-class heavy cruisers, *not* a battleship’s armour scheme as had been used for the Scharnhorsts. Alaska is something of an edge case, and is considered by some to be the first of an all new “super cruiser” class – that is, ships that were too big and powerful to be classed as a cruiser, but still too small to be called a true battlecruiser. But then the idea of the battlecruiser died out around the 1920s, as propulsion technology improved to be able to push full-sized battleships to speeds previously considered unachievable.

  4. DuckFaceMaster101

For people wanting to pronounce this one correctly just say it like you would say “Marss ey”.
Don’t ask how I know, I live there.

    • I think the confusion comes from “Versailles” and how anglophones read words. They are missing the ai vs ei and how that changes pronunciation.

  5. stalkingtiger777

I’m glad your AC is finally fixed!

  6. cool. Is it not Mar-Say? not Mar-Sigh… :~) Ignore message lol, hadn’t finished watching yet, DOH!!! :~(

  7. I would have gone with rudder shift.

  8. It’s “Marr-say.”

  9. You can tell who the new people to the channel are when they are correcting SLMB’s pronunciation of ships. Everyone else gave up a loong time ago. 🤣

    • @taserrr lol, no one actually care, like for an English speaker having to learn to pronounce something in a video game,it’s literally pointless, and yeah, you may seem it easy, that doesn’t mean everyone else saw it easy. And it’s not even anyone fault that an English speaking person mispronounced a French name, why are you so problematic about it?

    • @JaBaited Just giving my opinion, check the comments I’m not alone in that. It takes little effort, 1 minute prep time for a 20 min video, that’s not too much to ask is it?

Like I said, you’d probably feel the same way when somebody mispronounces your name or city whilst making a video about it.

    • @JaBaited Imagine leaving criticism in a youtube comment, oh the humanity!

  10. Battle Boats with Captain Spud

I was thinking about it and wg should do something with the game engine when you are using your main secondary guns as aa defense they should shoot at the planes also … but I was mainly thinking if you did like a double aa sector they would do extra damage to planes but not be able to be used as secondary on surface ships. So you have to choose where they are putting there firepower either surface or air and air would give aa a boost

  11. You have to wait from May to July to have your ac fixed? how can they take that long ?🤣

  12. Trucker Dashcam // Sweden

I love playing a game of WoW and having you talking in the background 🙂

  13. Some observations about this line, especially Marseille, they seem to have exceedingly good maneuverability for their size. I don’t just mean speed, they seem to turn very well. I see alot of people also underestimating the amount of lead they need even when they [Marseille line] don’t try to dodge, so they just miss entirely. Second, their guns sound incredibly loud for their size, I remember taking Cherbourg out and being surprised at how loud the main battery was. This isn’t a complaint, just thought it was odd that the 305s and then the 330s sounded so intimidating. Lastly I think if Marseille had 2×4 330s it probably would’ve been too strong, the 3×3 makes it show more side if you want all 3 to fire. The line seems really good at flanking for support, and surpise pushes. I’m anxious to get through Cherbourg to it.

  14. It’s one FAST large cruiser. It’s terrifying for the DDs to see the Marshy just chasing them down with 9 guns to bear and hydro activated.

  15. sayo911kompressor

    Mar-Her-Say-eh Ma-ha-say-eh Mahasayeh (Marseilles)

    shey-ha boof (Cherbourg)
    sha-lulu maha-tell (Charles Martel)
    Sun-looy (Saint Louis)
    Anri (Henry)
    Ray-Puu-Blie-Qoo (Republique)
    Gas-coh-new (Gascogne)

    hmmmmmm difficult.

  16. Just started Brest

  17. 100% magnifique!! Really loving the aesthetics of the new French and British BC’s.

  18. Took me a couple of battles to be more comfortable with sort of ignoring the third turret in a lot of situations and maintaining my angle, then whipping it into play after enemy shoots and getting those big consistent chunks of damage. I loved the Brest especially in the 1v1 mode where despite not having torps, relied on speed and citadels to win almost 90% of my games. Way I’d sum up these boats is “strike fast, strike hard”

  19. Marseilles is pronounced “Mar-say”. Just so you know. Have a great weekend! It’s a city in France.
