From what I recall from 2019 and having a reread of LWM’s review I think it always suffered in popularity due to being perceived as “good… but Vladivostok is better”.
But then in October 2019 (Patch 0.8.9) almost half a year after the Soviet BBs were released Vlad got an sigma nerf from 1.7 to 1.6. (Kremlin and Sinop also eventually got similar sigma nerfs)
Whilst Lenin always kept 1.7 sigma.
But this was after much of the overexcitement about how OP the Russian BBs were had died down a little bit.
Did a battle earlier today with the Lenin in a TX match. I had to brawl against a monty and a bourgogne near the end. I killed the bourgogne through superstructure and turret and killed the montana by doing a cit through its deck. All the while I was bouncing most of their shells with very slight angling if any at all.

The reason the Lenin wasn’t too popular and the reason I didn’t get her was because the Vladivostok exists, essentially the same ship with a different turret layout.
Except it’s more accurate than Vladivostok now
@Aristos Achaion I doubt that it is much better, certainly not worth buying it when it was for sale.
I have a Lenin and yes its pretty stronk! But at the same time its also abit boring to play, slow reload and no gimmicks. most new premiums come with all sorts of funny gimmicks, and i think ppl prefer this over the average fun Lenin! Anyways thats just my opinion.

I don’t play RS BBs because of the lack of DC. The HE and flood meta is impossible to counter when you need to push so close, that HP pool as large as it is, doesn’t last all that long.
