Ahhh i love playing my tier v bb and getting double uptiered against a belfast
I faced the Belfast head on with DD’s and it was a bane to sink, it is very good at dodging close range torpedo strikes. I found myself doing suicide runs head on, on a Belfast with a full broadside of torpedo’s and it dodged them all. If you can ram it however, you can cause heavy damage or sink it entirely. I got bored trying to sink it when it was OP, so I just avoided it altogether and resorted to spotting the damn thing for ships with bigger guns.
She used to be even more cracked with old IFHE and stealth firing

I miss stealth firing on this ship. It was so awesome on its release. Toured on the real one a few times in London.

Yeah, same with Błyskawica that could fire from behind her detection range. Yet it is still a good DD. Personally i own Belfast 43′ and its fun, but i wish i could have an OG Belfast someday 😀
@ThatInternetGuy J it was and it wasn’t. It changed the dynamic of the game a lot. Most people that stealth fired stayed in the spot and farmed as much as they could. It made it easy to rush them and take them out. The smart ones would set a few fires and move, reposition and wait till the smoke comes back on and then repeat. Very hard to rush because they’re gone particularly if they’ve been watching their mini map. It was fun, but in today’s meta so much radar, it’s a tough ship to play.

World of tanks had the Typr 59 medium tank which dominated tier eight in the right hands for years. I bought 2 of my wows friends the belfast as gifts 😊 and my brother did his sea cadets on the belfast in London 😂. Cheers
I picked up this ship last Christmas, I was over joyed to say the least an absolute monster for free.
You forgot that the Belfast has the 5th mod slot unlocked and can mount concealment mod.
Spent 350 quid on my Belfast during the charity live stream auction to get her a year or two back.
And I absolutely love her. My favourite historical ship, and for the longest time I was only able to play with her nerfed ’43 version. But damn, the second I won that auction and got the her OG version on my account, she’s quickly sailing up to my most played ship, and I love every second. She’s still so damn good and versatile.
Just wanted to say thanks to your recomendation i tried the french “battlecruisers” the grind till the split was little fun but after that, the mini Richelieu is worth the grind, armor is so weird, but love it thanks.
Yeah, French battlecruisers are amazing, way better than Henri IV. I love my Marsillie 😀
This is why I absolutely love the Plymouth, gives up the HE but other than that, so much utility. And its guns are kind of amazing. It’s a monster in ranked these days. Her AP can chunk down BBs quite fast.
Forgot the fifth slot for concealment which is what makes the radar and smoke so effective without it the ship couldn’t stealth torp
Only thing missing is British Super Heal!

Yeah Hey you covered my favorite ship! I got her her in 2016-17 and while she is a glass cannon, what a cannon she is with all of that utility. I use her with Jack Dunkirk, radar mod booster, turret mod to get those slow guns around, and extend the smoke time. When i first played her i would run out of her smoke and get sent to Davey Jones Locker. I think the reason why WG has for the most part left her alone is, she is one of the flagships of the game. Plus she is a museum ship which does not hurt. Thx great video friend. By the way sailing bow in to the BB at the end took a lot of guts! Maybe you are a Navy Commander in disguise lol!!
Had Belfast ever since it came out. Loved it then and still love it now. Belfast and Atlanta team mates are the best.
I have both versions of the Belfast. The 43 version is still a very good ship & I find the short smoke a better fit for the current meta. The only draw back is the longer reload & you get into tons of T10 games
I haven’t played for a few years, but I do remember this is one of the few premiums I actually own.
I do not regret keeping my Kutuzov and Belfast after the smoke nerf
The one thing Belfast DOESN’T have that would be nice to have would be torpedoes. Very useful if you screw up & the other guy is just too damn close.
