I am kind of worried about the insanely long reload on some of those light cruisers. I know reload speed, except Harugumo line is not IJN specialty, but 155mm guns reloading at the rate normally reserved for 203mm is kind of absurd.
even worse… 150mm guns… that are capped at 31mm even with IFHE. And we know that fires are rng….
@Krzysztof Narloch And with poor AP to boot… oh crap, this is worse than I expected, unless they artificially raise HE pen, like they did with Germans and 100mm IJN guns.
@Henry Herold Mogami 155 at T8 already has 15 of these guns and reloads in 10s. The 14s reload on the new line is just trash.
@HidesHisFace also check the AA values…. all they have is the range… continous numbers and number of flak is a joke.
All sounds fun. I’m still waiting for them to give us the ability to dual load our guns. By that I mean being able to have some of your turrets loaded with HE and some with AP.
Yeah no, personally I’d prefer to be able to man your dual-purpose guns yourself to add flak to your ship
The last japanese light cruiser made was the Oyodo which was a submarine support vessel and carried aircraft to scout for submarine groups. It was armed with 6 155mm mounted in a pair of triple turrets taken from the Mogamis. If WG decided to implement it it would likely be a light cruiser version of Tone.
It was considered a white elephant, but it was a nice-looking vessel! I would have liked to see the Jintsu…
If they add it in…it will be a premium…

Anhalts camo looks very French, so I’m sure I’ll accidently load HE expecting there to be spaced armour

The size turret rangefinders in those high tier guns are just laughable in size…. even Yamatos rangefinders aren’t that big proportionally
Too bad they ddnt include the sendai or nagara class cruisers as tier 4
Am glad that IJN light cruisers are being added. But I doubt any of these will displace the 6″ Mogami in my favourite ships list…

I was hoping this line would have something new like ijn radar instead these ships will have barley any utility. Just more HE just what the game needs just like it needs another super carrier and a mega kremlin WG has definitely lost its way.

Yodo was also a real ship. Only a dispatch vessel but refitted/reclassed to be a light cruisers after the Ruso-Japanese war
Speaking of secondaries, any chance we could ever get a Battleship that was ALL secondaries, no Main battery guns, did anything like that ever exist?
The Super Carrier should be the IJN Shinano… Sister of Yamato & Musashi converted into the Carrier.
