I think Wargaming said that they wont release *premium CV’s* for a while, not ALL premium ships…
PS. You could have shown the armor scheme, there might been the real difference. Also the Wichita has way better concealment than Baltimore along with better rudder shift.

well, the defining trait of Wichita is the lack of Heavy shells and lack of AA for just 1 knots increase in speed and a slight manoeuvrability increase, so it’s a pretty meh Tier VIII american cruiser IMO
When I saw it lacked the super heavy pen angles I completely lost all interest in this ship.
wow….. i was so hyped for a premium Balti that i just threw money at it the second it went into the shop. The fact they took away the super heavy AP shells makes me wish I’d spent my money elsewhere

+Brian Alexander It has the improved autobounce angles. It doesn’t have the Baltimore’s penetration since the Baltimore uses superheavy rounds. The autobounce angles are a US 8″ “racial” trait, it doesn’t matter if they’re standard-weight or superheavy.
Does it play 7 nation army by the White Stripes when you press “n” similar to the West Virginia?

if your aa consumable is active and there are no planes than press p key to deactivate the secondary and aa guns this will also help you to deactivate the aa consumable .

I can not see spending money in this game right now. Plus it is tier 8 how many dam premiums are they going to put at that tier . Tier 8 in tier 10 games are so fun
You gotta remember that when looking at the dispersion, that’s the maximum at the maximum range. Using some mathematics you can find out which one has the better dispersion at max range.
142 : 15.8 – 132 : 14.4 Wichita has 8.98 when you divide dispersion with range. Baltimore has 9.16. Wichita’s dispersion seems to be juuuuust a bit better.

Looks like Wichita needs MLG turrets if you want a running, turning gun fight.
I think that 3rd battle would have gone worse if Cleveland used HE.
I don’t add ships that I haven’t played into lists, and I normally don’t compare how a ship feels compared to another ship that I haven’t played. But I knew someone would complain if I complained it to the Cleveland or another cruiser I have played :p
Is there a slight delay between mouse click and guns firing for you? I can hear you clicking but it seems your guns aren’t firing immediately.

+CloneD Anon How is moving GC to tier 6 not a nerf ? Even with 25mm armour and better fire chance reduction its gonna have big problems against tier 8 BB:s, CV:s, CA/CL etc.
One man’s opinion, freely given and worth Almost that much…The only reason to buy this is if you want/need an American heavy cruiser, and haven’t yet worked you way up the US heavy cruiser line. Its not a bad ship, its just not something that gets my gitter going.
That would sum it up for me. I chose the US Heavy Cruiser line, so I’ve ended up at Baltimore, and would only pay for Witchita if I could get the heal at T8 for a US cruiser. If you went down the light cruiser line, and you want a heavy cruiser US, then wait till it goes on sale. As a T8 premium, 75% of your matches you will fill a slot as the only T8 in an all T10 battle, and will be the only ship on the map without a heal, and 150% reload penalty vs. all of the De Moines, Minotaurs and Woosters that you’ll be fighting.
+CloneD Anon Its strengths are concealment and rudder/turn circle, conceal is history in the new carrier meta, not fun if it gets focused. If they do it to GC they are gonna do it to all others too Kutuzov, Nikolai, Kamikaze etc. so then they can release new OP premiums to later remove and sell in “random crate” sales at Christmas.. All business..
It is already easy meat for a competent Fuso firing HE as is the Dunkirk..
Also when I bought the GC I wanted a tier 5, I have plenty of tier 6 premiums, dont like the idea of changing tier/stats after sale at all
+CloneD Anon Yes, with an AA buff, HP, 25mm, fire reduction it could work, (actually the AA isnt all that bad (35 is the same as Fuso)) maybe also a spotter plane to increase gun range and flexibility in tier 8 games, and yes you may well be right about the Italian ship line, I really hope so because the whole idea of changing stats of premiums stinks.

Might be because both were built on a New Orleans Hull. And Wichita was the prototype for the Baltimore Class
Also, this ship is NOT ANY less accurate than the Baltimore! You were comparing Wichita with 15.8 km gun range to STOCK Baltimore with 14.4 km Gun range. If you were to UPGRADE the Baltimore, so that it has the same 15.8 km range, the dispersion will be IDENTICAL!
You cant compare dispersion when gun ranges are different, unless you do math anyway to figure it out anyway. Point is, different ranges cannot be directly compared to each other in dispersion.
You can totally tell your BB and heavy cruiser gameplay style. It doesn’t work for most other ships especially tin foil ones and punishes you for being too aggressive. After playing down the Crusier lines for US, IJN, UK and Kreigsmarine I have to say that I prefer the Hindenburg as well but my favourite are the Battlecrusiers… They combine the best of both worlds for me.
Survivability expert is nice too
Never ever try to tank too much in a cruiser…a common mistake made by BB players. Just kite and dodge.
