Loading...Congress is sailing into Legends in celebration of the 4 year anniversary of game launch. She is a tier 7 Super Cruiser (Basically an Alaska) with 7 x 305mm guns, Sonar, and a strong 9.4 km radar. while not as heavily armored as Alaska, 27mm of armor will help keep her safe from many battleships at the tier. Congress had decent AA, good maneuverability, and average concealment. The ships costs 20,000 quadrons (event currency) and can be attained almost for free.
The cheapest way to get Congress:
Buy admiralty backing for the Campaign for 2500 doubloons = 9,000 quadrons
Complete the Treasure Hunt web event = 10,000 quadrons
Buy the in store bundle of quadrons with 50,000 GXP = 1500 quadrons

I have Einstein on my Alaska with a reload around 15 seconds so I’m definitely putting the same build on the Congress plus the premium bonuses does help with the credits a lot.

i’ve been actually glad for congress as tier seven and six are my most played tiers and my lack of playing alaska has gotten me to start playing her often more now but preferably think she would do better at tier eight but anywho i am glad for congress cheers derka
Same I stick around T6 and 7
Tier 7 is definitely the best tier to play. I spent countless games trying to get a win on my Buffalo (still leveling). Tier 8/Legendary tier games are often excruciating to play.
They definitely can be! The rewards at T7 are nice as well
I’m still torn. The “free” tier VII should be the obvious choice but the historical draw of Repulse is hard to say no to. Wish Quadranes had also been available through Windroses like the winter chips were.
I can understand the pull toward Repulse, it’s a historic battlecruiser but I think for many it becomes an emotional choice versus a logical choice.
It has 6 guns. Clearly Warspite, Hyuga, Izmail, Arizona & California are going to be more impactful by direct comparison and that got me to rethinking.
Congress by design can do more in a game and I think, at least for me, value needs to be considered more over nostalgia considering how Wargaming goes about monetizing the dynamics of World of Warships, but regardless you have to do what will make you happy but I totally understand the allure of Repulse.
It’s a tough choice for sure!

Before this video I was adamant on getting the HMS Repulse for historical reasons….but now, that Congress seems like the smart choice between the two.
I think the Repulse, though nostalgic, isn’t the wisest choice as a gaming ship, it’s fast but 6 guns is still only 6 guns, the damage output is limited…the Warspite, Hyuga, Izmail, Arizona and California are going to be more impactful ships in comparison.
Repulse seems to be more of a support ship which is fine IF you’re in a division and enjoy a support ship role.
Congress appears to have more depth to it despite only 7 guns.
After playing Repulse a few matches I’d agree. She’s fun, don’t get me wrong but with only six guns and incredibly light armor, it’s a tough ship to play!
Set mine up with mimbelli and Bon Essen. It’s a decent ship but hard to get decent damage. Going to play more open water as it can’t be played like the heavy cruisers as I’ve found out today lol.

I love London, it’s so relaxing to play. That HE can be very painful for unaware battleships. And I think the AP is short fuse, so gou can chunk other cruisers quite well. Unfortunately it’s british, so no prop mod 😂

I was considering getting congress, but repulse really spoke to me, as I love historical battle cruisers. I bought repulse and it has not let me down!

Just finished the whole treasure hunt with promotion orders 😮 … Got 43 chests and some other stuff out it and the 10k Quadrants … With this weeks campaign im at 15k quadrants, so almost tgere already 😊

I am loving playing with the T7 supercruisers, so i am deffinitly getting this one. We all know how things go in update week, so GG.
I have some different things in the build, intuitive being one of them, to help against those pesky DDs and the use of Madden instead of Ivan, to keep those turrets well oiled.
