  2. Oh boi new operations my favorite

  3. Time for Texas to shine again

  4. This sounds great. Looking forward to it!

  5. @tigerterrorist79

Could potentially be a W event

  6. *proceeds to flood half of USS Texas to increase firing range*

    • Wasn’t it like, only a 2° inclination, after the beach was secured?

    • @@ottaviobasques I think they did flood port-side ballasts to get a 5 to 7 degrees inclination, if I am not wrong…
Edit: And they managed to destroy a German tank group that was going to the beach!

    • @UnknownPersononGoogle

      That was Rodney. Not Texas.
An SS Panzer division was heading to the beach and Rodney hammered them.

    • @@UnknownPersononGoogle Oh… Thank for the correction… Probably misunderstood the story… Thanks👍

  7. Where is Dasha ?

  8. Let us never forget the sacrifices made by probably the greatest generation (WWII) of all of our lives. Great Run Down VoodooPopeye and Shvrtya. I am seriously looking forward to this event. I finshed all my operations a few years back.

  9. @WarThunder-zt4xw

As the son of a WW2 Normandy veteran, I am so excited for this!!

  10. @kaiserwilhelmshatner3156

    USS Laffey when?
She was at Normandy and stuck by a dud shell.

    • The Allen M Summner class DD? We can always hope…

    • @christianvalentin5344

@@Yamato-tp2kfit wouldn’t surprise me if they drop Laffey next year as it would be the 80th anniversary of her ordeal off Okinawa.

    • sleepy girl

    • @@Cryogen69 The Benson Class Laffey was sunken in the Guadalcanal campaign… They after named a Allen M. Sumner class DD Laffey with a commander from another DD that survived the night battle that the Benson Class DD Laffey wrecked Hiei, and 2 years and a half later got attacked on April 16th 1945 by more than 50 kamikaze planes that damaged the Allen M. Sumner Laffey but didn’t sink and survived!!!

    • @@christianvalentin5344 Next year then… Probably… On April 16th 2025…

  11. I kind of wish we could actually flood our ships if stationary to get extra range just for this event lol

  12. This event, Rodney, Wisconsin, and eventually Johnston… The game is looking pretty exciting rn!

  13. @Alaskancrabpuffs21

Oh I love this!!!! This is what we wanted WGing

  14. Hey, why is it only the American landing grounds that are being catered to in this? What about Gold Beach, Juno Beach, and Sword Beach?

  15. Let us never forget those who journeyed into the howling dark and did not return. For their decision required courage beyond measure; sacrifice, and unshakable conviction that their fight… our fight, was elsewhere. They ennobled all of us, and they shall not be forgotten.

  16. Wisconsin in April
    D Day in June
    Johnston on the horizon
This is gonna be a Great Year

  17. Sounds like a great event (and we are long overdue new operations). Looking forward to this!

  18. @discosheepish2868

This sounds awesome, missions like this would be a big add to wow

  19. I thought I’d never see a new Operation again. I had resigned myself to there just being eight forever, my favorite form of playing the game reduced to an abandoned feature and the concept of tying in the historical aspects as in the Dunkirk event years ago forgotten.

    This… gives me heart.

  20. Excellent WG outstanding job. My wife’s uncle was with the Big Red 1 and parachuted behind enemy lines to attack the German artillery so they could not fire upon the beaches. He was wounded but lived to a ripe old age into his 90’s. He would show me his medals from the battle. Thanks for helping to remember these brave heroes. My dad was in the WESPAC with VF-11(Sundowners) as a fighter pilot two tours (Cmdr John W Ramsey USN 1941-1963), would be great if you could do some WESPAC operations in the future.
