Petropavlovsk is the brand new tier 10 heavy russian tech tree cruiser and is based on another heavy cruiser variant of Project 82 that was reworked, taking into account the experience gained during World War II. In addition to her 220 mm main battery guns, the ship received powerful dual-purpose artillery. Some of the signature features of these heavy Russian cruisers include effective armor-piercing shells with good ballistic properties, high penetration, and a short fuse-arming delay time, the latter of which will significantly decrease the number of over penetrations. Petropavlovsk gets access to the repair Party consumable at their disposal.The combination of their accuracy settings and the Surveillance Radar consumable with a 12 km operating range makes the new cruisers most efficient in medium-range encounters. I’ve been playing the Petropavlosk quite a bit during testing and since full release with over 100 games and the Petropavlovsk is not only strong under many different scenarios but a lot of fun and very satisfying to play. Very powerful main guns feel very rewarding and quite consistant while the armor layout provides good protection while maintaining proper angling. Petropavlosk is a cruiser captains dream providing a nice balance of strong main armament mixed with good tanking abilities.

I was watching this as you did it….good stuff.
Well done! Unfortunately, there are some DD players that do not know how to leverage their concealment to spot for the team, and set themselves up for good torp angles. Instead they smoke up, and hope that their team spots them some targets to shoot at. It is frustrating. We need a “How to DD” video from WarGaming, or perhaps you could if someone has not already made a good one.

I was so glad that i made my way to the Riga during the soviet cruiser event that allowed you to get to it before the research tree line was available, i also had enough free xp to just straight out get her, still worth it, not a game goes by where i don’t get atleast 1.5 to 2mil potential damage XD fun ship nonetheless, another great video 😛

know how good this ship is fighting while retreating. The other great thing with the “How NOT to play a destroyer” of the British
destroyer is that you
are able to explain how to play destroyer “normally” right. You played the PETROPAVLOVSK like you stole it.
