Loading...Gear up for the Piñata Hunt—a fresh event that’s set to unfurl on our seas and bring a whole lot of fun as you smash a Piñata to smithereens. This colorful event offers a perfect diversion from regular battles while still being a stimulating challenge!
Piñata Hunt battles will take place on the Colorful Islands map which has been decorated in a special and fitting way. Upon entering battle, one of 14 event-themed camouflages will be randomly applied to your ship. Every ship, including the Piñata ship, will have a brand-new custom explosion animation upon being sunk.
A “piñata” is a traditional focal point of celebrations in some countries. It’s typically a colorful, hollow figure, often made of papier-mâché, cardboard, or other materials, shaped like an animal or object. The piñata is filled with candy, toys, or other treats, and it’s suspended from a height. Participants in the game, usually blindfolded and armed with a stick, take turns trying to hit the piñata until it breaks open, releasing its contents for everyone to enjoy.
Format
• 7v7 with Tier VIII–IX ships of all types.
• No more than 1 aircraft carrier, 1 submarine, 3 battleships, 3 cruisers, and 3 destroyers per team.
• Divisions of up to 3 players are allowed.

We need more Greek ships like armored cruiser Georgios Averof, protected cruiser Elli, submarine Papanikolis and destroyers Adrias and Vasilissa Olga.
Maybe even a separate Greek navy tech tree? There has to be a fantasy ship called “Malaka”. Lol

The submarine is a modern ship and WoWS is about historic warships. So, forget about this sub. Unless you wanna face nuclear subs with cruise missiles armed with nuclear heads able to wipe out all the ships on the map in the next Pinata event.
The cruiser Elli is already present in WoWS as a European tier 6 premium ship. And there is also a tech tree ship, the destroyer Lambros Katsonis.
I suppose WG could have included the other Greek ships you mention in the European line, but Europe is too cramped with small navies, once you take apart the main navies.
Anyway…
Would you like to see a Greek line with real ships in the lower tiers and fictional ships in the higher tiers?
Because that is WG did when they added the Spanish line: Half the ships are inventions, from Asturias to Castilla, using names of real ships with no resemblance with the fictional ships in WoWS. I don’t like that, because is the first step into creating wholly fictional lines for, let say, the Kingdom of Sleeping Beauty, the Republic of the Smurfs or the seafaring lake and river fleets of Switzerland and Bolivia.

@@caniconcananas7687 I was referring to the PROTECTED cruiser Elli, the one that was torpedoed by the Italian submarine Delphino, before the outbreak of the Greco Italian war of 1940.
The smoke from the warship adds a smile on the mountain with eyes 🙂 in the thumbnail which looks nice

I enjoy the Piñata Hunt, especially with my Iowa. The special consumables really help the ships to stay alive a bit longer.

Previously, there was another mode. It was for Easter. The “Easter egg hunt” offered good prizes. It was a nice mod. As you know, we are entering the Easter season.))
