  1. now we need new jersey

  2. Props for sealord for grinding the entire dockyard within a few hours of the new update release

  3. So for info, Whiskey’s shell have better drag coefficient than Iowa/Montana/Maine (Big W has 0.290, the rest has 0.352), but as a trade off, it has worse krupp (2380 instead of 2520). Overall the penetration is still slightly better than the tech tree ships (569mm instead of 562mm at 12km).

Also the hull used ingame is technically neither Iowa nor Missouri, it has a different AA layout than both for some reasons (no idea if that’s historical or not). But i guess they still copy pasted what they had and just changed the AA mounts

  4. I get the feeling the HE having higher velocity would make HE spamming until enemies are within 15km or doing something stupid would work quite well.

Honestly Wisconsin is the American equivalent of Bourgogne. Yes she get’s 3 less guns overall but she get’s a heavier caliber shell. Yes she doesn’t get a speed boost but in addition to a reload boost for her guns she gets a reload buff for her heal and her repair party. Additionally she get’s better sigma for her guns than Bourgogne. And I’m drawing the comparison because A.) Bourgogne is a slightly buffed version of Alsace that has been up tiered and because B.) Bourgogne is widely considered to be one of the best ships in the game.

On top of all that Wisconsin is a screaming deal. She’s a tier 10 premium with all of the economic bonuses that being a premium implies and she can be had for less than $20 worth of doubloons if you want to grind most of the dockyard and even if you don’t she can still be had for a little over $50 worth of doubloons if you buy the 9 segment package. And…… if you want to buy the deluxe starter pack and still grind the dockyard they are handing out extra segments after she is acquired to get more steel.

I looked at this long and hard before I bought the 9 segment package tonight and decided I was going to get her and that I didn’t want the stress grinding that came with grinding the dockyard with the small starter pack like I did when Puerto Rico was reissued last year. And besides if you play regularly you can easily acquire close to 6000 doubloons a year for free just by collecting monthly bonuses, ranked rewards and random bundles in the armory each update. Combined with the $20-30 ship I buy each year that gives me my money back in the form of doubloons I will have gotten everything I put into Wisconsin back by my next birthday…. + adding WeeVee 44 and expediting the collection of my next steel and coal ships.

I don’t know if the CCs are getting jaded or just haven’t played the ship enough yet but I really feel like they are looking at this ship as a glass half empty instead of as a glass half full.

    • the full grind looks free compared to the purgatory that is ranked

    • @ashleighelizabeth5916

@@Cryogen69 yeah but it’s almost all I play these days, primarily because there is no up tier and if I get wins I get steel and doubloons. I don’t bother with stressing about trying to rank out, I just grind away to get more steel and doubloons and once I hit 12 wins I got do random ops or brawls or asymmetrical.

    • I too give the Wisconsin a nein out of ten.

    • This is a great comparison and quite frankly sums up the Wisconsin quite well.

    • Well Richelieu-JB is a huge upgrade,JB one of the best BBs out there. Again Alsace-Bourbogne,Bourbogne one of the best. Wiscounsin is just meh,i wouldnt say its better than Montana. Guess Dockyard ships cant be too strong if they are so cheap.
JB,Bourbogne also have MUCH better reload than their previous versions while Wiscounsin is not much different than Iowa.

  6. Wisconsin has as someone said in the comments before me, different shell parameters as well as BATTLECRUISER dispersion not BATTLESHIP dispersion. Its dispersion is basically the same as Georgia’s, but with higher sigma. Also the hull in game is Illinois’ hull, which ironically is the most realistic hull for an Iowa in the game. It sits at the correct draft that Iowas are supposed to sit at while fitted with a full combat load.

As Sea Lord was weighing the cost of the dockyard, it occurred to me why we don’t routinely translate doubloons into dollars or a couple currencies. 3200 dubs is $12.80 US. ~250 dubs per dollar. Sure WG wants to fool your brain that none of their currencies are “real money”, but if you relate the dubs to your local currency, you can make an informed decision. In dollars, that’s 2 cups of Starbucks not really fancy coffee. Worth it, probably, if you play US battleships.

  8. Seeing that it’s quite a decent dockyard, I actually gave WG 12K dubs. You see, ppl are actually more inclined to open their wallets when it’s not a scam or in your face aggressive monetization

  9. I really enjoy the Whiskey, the F skill makes her be able to sustain even more central positions well, where you can get the most out of your accurate guns and the most broadsides to shoot. Slava can’t do that as freely for example, it dies a lot quicker.

  10. intro ftw!

  11. I would love to see SLM’s assessment on the missions. The early ones look easy. I’m half way through the first set from last night. But some of the ones towards the end have me thinking the large starter pack is the better idea. I can’t remember the last dockyard I completed, but I did do the recent dockyard missions anyway. And the last two I recall getting hung up on a XP grind mission that look way longer than the week WG tasked us with.

As for tier 9 vs 10, I don’t see it as a difference. Yes, you lose the rare chance to bully tier 7s. But until WG introduces super-duper ships (AKA tier 12) I don’t see a lot of change in MM for getting bumped a tier.

    • Probably easiest dockyard in a while by a fair bit, especially if you already have a W Virginia and don’t mind losing on 250 steel for skipping the 60k base xp mission. You will need some blue boosters for some parts but nothing too bad.

  12. Well done upload. Outstandingly cinematic Intro. Congrats.

To be fair, her sisters, Iowa and Missouri, also see superships so nothing new with the Wisconsin.

  14. I’d be excited for the New Jersey with Ryan Szimanski as the special skipper. Love the Measure 22 camouflage on the “Whiskey”! It was a popular camouflage scheme late in the Pacific war. I have a photo of U.S.S. Abbot DD-629 sailing next to U.S.S. Chicago CA-136…in the Measure 22 paint scheme.

  15. Now, That’s an Entrance!!! Thank you for the awesome vid.

  16. @sirboomsalot4902

Honestly, the other camo being the colors of the Great White Fleet (and specifically USS Wisconsin BB-9) is pretty cool.

    • a lot of people don’t know the history of they Great White Fleet, so they wouldn’t catch the reference, unless they looked it up

  17. Thanks for doing the legwork on this one. It might not be the best ship but I’m sentimental about the Wisky. I live close to Norfolk and have been on her quite a few times. Looking forward to going for her 80th birthday celebration.

  18. @nucleus_underfire4666

13:35 “That’s my discord not yours.” THANK YOU

  19. @davidmccafferty4017

    Great information

  20. Had WVee 44 so the 4 dockyard missions plus 3 from Wvee44 gave me a total of 7 phases free. Bought both starter packs got me to 17 stages at reduced price. 13 at full price ended up costing me less than $200.
Good video, and very fair assessment of the ship.
