Nice. I’m not going to lie, I shelled out for one on Canada Day simply because my grandfather was on her sister HMCS Huron. it’s great to finally have a tribal properly in the game.
My granddad served in a coal mine in Glasgow, surprise, Coal miners were strategically valuable and exempt from conscription.
The other one was a member of the Danish Resistance and worked with “transportation” which was the fancy way of hiding “hide in the woods while waiting for British/US weapon drops”. Apparently lost a handful of friends to the Gestapo, he never really talked about it.
My granddad(dad’s dad) was a typesetter, so he was exempt from conscription, too. The silly old bugger went and volunteered anyway, ended up with the 1st Bn Royal Sussex at Monte Cassino. Given what I’ve read, I’m not surprised he didn’t talk about it.
His cousin volunteered even harder, and got his name on *the* monument in St Nazaire for his trouble.

On the Haida front she has better hp, stealth and gun performance with the Sims having that great manoeuvrability. The smokes are about the same just very different . I find the torps a similar again but different. I love the Sims but as a aggressive player I find the Haida good fun. I am looking forward to the Cossack but worry about the fact it is tier 8 🙂 However for me crew training is a factor and I do not own the Perth so her and the Vampire are getting captains ready for the Commonwealth line if it appears 🙂
