I found the combination of icebreaker plus really good torp angles meant you could mitigate the “meh” bow-in gunpower quite a bit at closer ranges in order to take on enemy heavy cruisers that would otherwise just ignore your guns whilst sitting bow-in to you trying to out-trade at close range.
